Troubleshooting

ISSUE CAUSE REMEDY
After switching on the VAP 1 via the main switch the LED on the key fails
to come on.		 1. The plug is not inserted in the socket.
The power lead is damaged.
2. Fuse blown.		 1. Insert the plug in the mains
power socket.
If the power lead needs replacing
always contact an Authorised
Service Centre.
2. Replace the fuse with one of
identical specifications (T 10 A).

The VAP 1 warning LED (5) comes on
and an acoustic alarm sounds		 1. No water or water level in
boiler is low.		 1. Add distilled water to container.
The VAP 1 electric pump is not loading
the water.		 1. Pump shuts down
automatically because it has
overheated (excess pressure
or insufficient water in boiler).		 1. Proceed as per point 1 in section 7.2.
The VAP 1 overpressure LED
(13) lights up on the display (2) and
the legend “AI” appears.		 1. The safety pressure
switch has tripped, shutting
down the equipment
because pressure is over
11.5 bar.		 1. Proceed as per point 2 in section
7.2. Contact an Authorised Service Centre
if the overpressure LED (13)
comes on repeatedly.
The VAP 1 safety valve (O) has
opened.		 1. Steam generator malfunction. 1. Switch off the equipment via the
main switch and contact an
Authorised Service Centre.
The pressure in the boiler drops
considerably when the gun trigger
button is pressed or noise is heard
inside the boiler when the element
is on.		 1. Low pressure inside the
boiler due to steam
condensation.		 1. Press the gun trigger for a few
seconds with the equipment on.
